We will be doing a recipe once a month. Since The Baking Bible Bake Along is every week, we didn't want to put any pressure on us bakers. Every month, we will post on our blogs how things went for each recipe along with pictures. The recipes will not be posted, mainly because most of the recipes in the book are 3 to 4 pages long or more. There are a lot of recipes in the book so it might take us a while to get through it but good bread is guaranteed once a month.
Since our fearless leader of the Baking Bible Bake Along, Marie has already baked all the recipes, we will follow her blog Breadbasketcase as a template and schedule. Her first selection was the Rosemary Focaccia. It wasn't without its challenges but a good one to start with, none the less.
I've also included a link to the corrections that Rose made in the book. It can be found in the side bar.
If you would like to have your own copy of this fantastic book, get The Bread Bible here at Amazon.
Once a month is perfect! Thanks for organizing this - I'm really looking forward to it.

I think it will be great fun!
DeleteFabulous! This is just a gorgeous blog! So grateful you volunteered to do this.
ReplyDeleteUpward and onward, here we go!
Glad you're part of it Vicki.
DeleteI actually have tears of happiness that you are featuring my favorite baking subject in this way. There is already a portal on the blog home page and I'll also do a posting for tomorrow on the blog. I feel so blessed. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteRose, thanks for the portal. I noticed this from there.
DeleteThanks Rose! I kind of wish we were doing recipes more than once a month but hopefully that will change in the near future. Bread is life!
ReplyDeleteOnce everyone gets the bug there may be requests to do 2 a month! but i think 1 a month is a realistic starting point.
ReplyDeleteMy blog posting directing people to the new presence on my blog home page will go live tomorrow morning at 9:30 EST.
I'd be happy doing it once a week but that's just me.
ReplyDeleteGlori,
ReplyDeleteI thought of doing this after baking through the Baking Bible. You beat me to it. Count me in! Once a month is perfect.
